Sakuras

Here are some pictures of flowering cherries, including the weeping variety, for your inspiration for the upcoming March's a la cARTe  project. They were taken at the Birmingham botanical gardens last spring. In Japan all flowering cherries are called sakuras.
The event will be held on March 19th and will be devoted to the celebration of the Sakura Festival and Japanese culture. For those of you who are not sure what it's all about - the details will be sent out in an e-mail and/or discussed again at our next meeting on February 6th.
