We spent a gorgeous spring afternoon on March 19th, 2011, at the Kentuck's annex demonstrating spinning on spinning wheels and drop spindles, hanging out with visitors, and teaching them to spin. Here are some pictures from that event. More pictures are on posted on
flickr by Kentuck.
Our cherry blossoms display bloomed thanks to Carol, Jenny, and Nan, who contributed their handcrafted cherry blossoms to the project. We plan to use it again next year as a recurrent project and grow our tree continuously. I encourage everyone to participate if you haven't done so yet. You can submit your blossoms at any time of the year and make our cherry burst into spring full of color and texture.
