Sheep to Shawl 2012

Pictures from Sheep to Shawl that took place on April 14, 2012
in the Kentuck courtyard, Northport, AL.

The loom is warped. Spinning yarn for weft to weave a shawl is in progress.

Our carding team prepares wool for spinning.

We had a lot of visitors.

The sheep is ready to donate her fleece for the shawl.

Handcards and a drum carder are useful tools for carding.

Spinning wheels come in different shapes and sizes.
